The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PineLeaf Estate and Properties Ltd., Archbishop Dr. Onyeka Joseph Nzekwesi, has commended the Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, for his leadership and developmental initiatives, expressing readiness to collaborate with the university to support its growth.
Nzekwesi, who is also the Presiding Archbishop of Jesus Is Alive Church, made the remarks during a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor on Friday, October 9, 2026.
Accompanied by Ambassador (Princess High Chief) Mrs Chinelo Onwudiwe, popularly known as Adadiogo Global, the cleric praised the Anyaehie administration’s open-door policy and achievements during its first 10 months in office.
He explained that the visit was intended to appreciate the Vice-Chancellor’s contributions to the development of the university and explore opportunities for future collaboration. According to him, several associates had spoken positively about the Vice-Chancellor’s work, prompting the visit to convey their appreciation.
Nzekwesi also disclosed that some individuals had approached him for support towards a proposed graduate studies project. He said the initiative had previously been discussed with him and members of the Students’ Union Government (SUG), adding that further discussions would take place at the appropriate time.
Providing insights into his business and religious calling, the Archbishop said his ministry was guided by the mission of Jesus Christ to set captives free, proclaim the good news of salvation and assist humanity in various ways rather than exploit people.
He described the visit as a gesture of goodwill and a demonstration of honour and appreciation for the Vice-Chancellor’s leadership.

In his response, Anyaehie thanked the visitors for the gesture and reaffirmed the university’s willingness to collaborate with individuals and organisations in areas of mutual interest, including physical development, social and spiritual initiatives.
The Vice-Chancellor described UNIZIK as an environment with considerable potential for meaningful partnerships, encouraging prospective collaborators to invest in initiatives that would contribute to the institution’s development.
He also welcomed further discussions on the proposed graduate studies project and other possible areas of cooperation.
The university’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Comrade Aloysius Attah, and other members of the university management were present during the visit.
