Governor Fintiri Commends MAU Yola’s Academic Excellence and Role in State Development

The Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has praised Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola, for promoting academic excellence and contributing to the state’s development.

Speaking at the university’s 29th and 30th combined convocation ceremony, the governor commended Vice-Chancellor Professor Ibrahim Umar and the university’s management for successfully organising the event and sustaining high academic standards.

He noted that MAU remains a major source of skilled manpower for the state, revealing that many applicants in the ongoing recruitment of 12,000 workers are graduates of the institution.

The governor reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting the university and urged graduating students to remain resilient and dedicated to building a brighter future.

The ceremony also featured the conferment of honorary degrees on several distinguished Nigerians, including Mr Nuhu Ribadu, Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari, Senator Bassey Edet, and the Ondo State Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
