Governor Yusuf Inaugurates Governing Councils for State-Owned Universities and Polytechnic

Kano State Governor, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, has inaugurated the Chairmen and members of the Governing Councils for Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano, and Kano State Polytechnic. The ceremony took place at the Africa House, Government House, Kano.

The Governor emphasized his administration's commitment to education, stating that it is the top priority. He urged the newly inaugurated members and Chairmen to be responsive, courageous, and dedicated in their duties.

The Governing Councils are tasked with guiding the institutions' affairs, ensuring adherence to established rules and regulations, and sourcing alternative funding for sustainable development.

Notable figures, including Professor Hafiz Abubakar, MFR, and Justice Audu Aboki, will lead the Governing Councils of Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano, and Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, respectively.

The inauguration marks a new chapter in the administration's efforts to enhance educational standards and institutional governance across the state.
