IAUE SUG Leadership Pays Strategic Courtesy Visit to D.P.O. Rumuolumeni to Bolster Student Security

The newly inaugurated Student Union Government (SUG) of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) has conducted a successful courtesy visit to the Divisional Police Officer (D.P.O.) of the Rumuolumeni Division on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

The strategic meeting, led by the SUG Executive President, Sen. Rev. Alex I.N. Onu, was aimed at introducing the union’s new leadership to the local police command and establishing a collaborative framework to enhance the safety of the student population.

During the engagement, the SUG leadership highlighted several security concerns affecting students, particularly those residing in off-campus hostels. Discussions centered on increasing police visibility around student residential areas and ensuring a rapid response to security incidents involving members of the university community.
