IBB University Elevates 16 Senior Academics to Professorial Ranks

The Senate of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBUL), has approved the promotion of sixteen senior academic staff to the ranks of Professor and Reader (Associate Professor). The announcement followed the institution's 107th Regular Meeting, where favorable reports from external assessors were formally considered.

The promotions, effective from October 1, 2025, were ratified by the University Council after the candidates met rigorous professional and academic benchmarks.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mohammed Hadi Sulaiman, commended the promoted staff for their resilience and academic productivity. He noted that these elevations are a testament to the university's commitment to human capital development.

“This milestone underscores our steady progress in building a robust academic environment,” the VC stated. He further urged the new Professors and Readers to mentor the next generation of scholars and continue strengthening the institution’s global reputation.
