Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Mourns the Loss of Hajiya Aisha Sheikh Abdullah

The Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, community is in mourning following the death of Hajiya Aisha Sheikh Abdullah, the wife of Professor Ahmed Sheikh Abdullah, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the University's Governing Council. She passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, after a brief illnes

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mohammed Hadi Sulaiman, has extended his condolences to the family on behalf of the University community. He prayed that Allah forgives the deceased's shortcomings and grants her Aljannah Firdausi. The Vice-Chancellor also urged the family to find solace in the fact that it is Allah who gives and takes.

Hajiya Aisha was known for her dedication to her family and community. Her contributions to the growth and development of those around her have left a lasting impact.

The deceased will be laid to rest in Zaria according to Islamic rites. The University community has expressed its sympathy to the family and prayed for Allah's mercy and blessings during this difficult time.

Located in Lapai, Niger State, Nigeria, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University was established in 2005 and named after the former Nigerian President. The university offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across various disciplines, including agricultural science, engineering, natural sciences, social sciences, and management sciences .
