Ignatius Ajuru University of Education Directs Graduating Students to Submit NIN for NERD Clearance Ahead of Portal Upload

The Ignatius Ajuru University of Education has issued a directive requiring all affected graduating students of the 2024/2025 convocation set to urgently update their National Identification Number (NIN) details as part of the National Education Repository and Databank (NERD) clearance process.

The Ignatius Ajuru University of Education has issued a directive requiring all affected graduating students of the 2024/2025 convocation set to urgently update their National Identification Number (NIN) details as part of the National Education Repository and Databank (NERD) clearance process.

According to the institution, the graduation list is scheduled to be uploaded to the NERD portal on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in line with the national compliance deadline set for Friday, May 29, 2026.

All graduands who have not yet completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) registration process have been instructed to log in to the university portal and update their profiles with a valid NIN.

The university emphasized that the submission must be completed not later than 11:29 a.m. on Monday, May 25, 2026, warning that late updates may affect inclusion in the clearance list.

Authorities also reminded students that the NIN must contain exactly 11 digits, urging strict verification before submission to avoid errors that could delay processing.

The directive, signed by the university’s ICT Centre, forms part of ongoing compliance measures following the convocation ceremony and the broader national data verification requirements for graduating students.
