Kaduna State Government Offers to Renovate Internal Roads at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria

The Kaduna State Government has offered to renovate some of the internal roads within Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.

The offer was made by Dr. Abdullahi Baba Ahmed, Managing Director of the Kaduna State Roads Agency (KADRA), during a courtesy visit to the university’s Vice‑Chancellor, Professor Adamu Ahmed, on Thursday, 27 November 2025.

Dr. Ahmed said the delegation — acting on the directives of Governor Senator Uba Sani — had come to inspect the university’s roads to determine how the state government could provide support to the premier institution in Northern Nigeria. He assured that the renovation project would commence as soon as possible.

In his response, Professor Ahmed thanked Dr. Baba Ahmed for the visit and expressed appreciation to Governor Uba Sani for his continued kindness to the university. He noted that the governor’s attentive stance toward ABU was unprecedented, especially as the governor himself did not attend the university.

The Vice‑Chancellor was supported by Deputy Vice‑Chancellor (Administration) Professor Bello Sabo, Deputy Vice‑Chancellor (Academic) Professor Raymond Bako, Registrar Rabiu Samaila, Bursar Malam Mohammed Bello Aminu Gurin, Director of Public Affairs Auwalu Umar, and Campus Planner TPL Abubakar Sani.
