KHAIRUN Inaugurates ICT Technical and Architecture Committee to Drive Digital Transformation

Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University (KHAIRUN), Kano, on Monday, 24 February 2026, officially inaugurated its ICT Technical and Architecture Committee under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdulrashid Garba.

The move aims to strengthen the University’s digital infrastructure and advance its technological capabilities.

The Committee will be chaired by Professor Salisu Mamman, Head of the Department of Science and Computing, whose technical expertise and experience are expected to guide KHAIRUN in building a robust, secure, and forward-looking ICT framework.

The newly established Committee is tasked with developing a comprehensive ICT architecture, standardizing technology systems, enhancing cybersecurity, and ensuring sustainable digital transformation across the University. This initiative aligns with Management’s commitment to creating a technology-driven academic environment that supports teaching, research, innovation, and efficient administrative operations.

University staff have been urged to give their full support to the Committee to enable it deliver effectively on its mandate and contribute to the continuous modernization and growth of the institution.
