Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN) has officially commissioned a Masjid for male students within the university’s male hostel, under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdulrashid Garba, on Wednesday, 12th November, 2025.

Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN) has officially commissioned a Masjid for male students within the university’s male hostel, under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdulrashid Garba, on Wednesday, 12th November, 2025.

Professor Garba stated that the Masjid reflects KHAIRUN’s commitment to fostering a balanced student life, integrating academic excellence with spiritual and moral development. He emphasized that the initiative is designed to encourage congregational prayers, promote Islamic knowledge and discussions, and enhance discipline among students, in line with the university’s policies prioritizing welfare, character, and safety. He officially declared the Masjid open for use.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by principal officers of the university, staff, and students, highlighting KHAIRUN’s continued dedication to creating a holistic learning environment that combines faith, knowledge, and service.
