Kogi State Polytechnic Suspends Staff Over Alleged Fake Results

The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has suspended five staff members, including a Deputy Registrar, over an alleged fake results syndicate operating within the institution.

The suspensions followed a joint investigation by the school's Admission, ICT, and Security Units, which uncovered a network of students, former students, and staff involved in forging National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) results for money.

The Rector emphasized the institution's commitment to transparency and accountability, stating, "We will not allow anyone to tarnish the name of Kogi State Polytechnic. Everyone involved will face disciplinary action and legal prosecution." He added, "Our commitment to transparency and accountability is firm. We will keep cleaning up the system so that only genuine effort and hard work are rewarded."
