The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has decorated members of staff of Lagos State University School of Transport and Logistics (SOTAL) as Special Traffic Mayors.
The ceremony, held on April 24, 2025, at SOTAL's main campus in Ojo, Lagos, highlights the ongoing collaboration between LASTMA and LASU aimed at enhancing traffic management education and practical engagement for students.
LASTMA's Director of Traffic Advocacy and Special Traffic Mayor, Mr. Awoyemi Jimmy, emphasized the importance of professional training and coordination in traffic control across Lagos State. The decorated staff members include seven faculty members from SOTAL.
The event concluded with a tour of the school and discussions on future collaborations to enhance students' practical learning experiences. The partnership between LASTMA and LASU underscores their shared commitment to improving traffic management in Lagos State.
