LASU Announces Admission Into Sandwich Degree Programmes For 2025 Modular Year
The management of Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, has invited applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its Sandwich Degree Programmes for the 2025 Modular Year.

The programmes will run at both the Ojo and Epe campuses of the institution.
Available Programmes
The Sandwich Degree Programmes span across the Faculty of Education, and candidates may apply for either the four-year or five-year options depending on their qualifications. The following degree programmes are available:
- B.Sc Education in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science Education, and Educational Technology.
- B.Sc Education in Human Kinetics, Sports and Health Education; Health Education; and Physical & Health Education.
- B.Sc Education in Business Education and Educational Management.
- B.Sc Education in Economics, Political Science, and Geography.
- B.A. Education in History, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Religious Studies, French, English, Yoruba, and Arabic.
- B.Ed Education in Early Childhood and Primary Education, Guidance and Counselling Education, and Special Education.

General Entry Requirements
To qualify for admission, candidates must possess:
- Five (5) O’Level credits or NABTEB results relevant to their chosen course of study at not more than two sittings, including two subjects at ‘A’ Level or NCE Merit Pass in relevant areas.
- A University or Polytechnic Diploma Certificate in a related field obtained at not less than Merit or Lower Credit level.
- Compulsory credit passes in English Language and Mathematics for all courses.
Specific Subject Requirements
- English Major: Credit passes in Literature-in-English and English Language.
- Economics Major: Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Economics.
- Human Kinetics, Sports and Health Education: Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and other subjects from Agricultural Science, Biology, and Physical & Health Science.
- Political Science Major: Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Government.
- Health Education: Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and subjects from Agricultural Science, Biology, and Health Science. Candidates with Staff Registered Nurse and Midwifery Certificates, or Environmental Health Diplomas, alongside five O’Level credits including English and Mathematics, are also eligible.
- Mathematics and Science Majors: Credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, and Physics are compulsory.
Other Acceptable Requirements
- ICAN (Part II) and CTS (Part II) are acceptable for Economics.
- Candidates with certificates from recognized Arabic institutions who did not sit for Arabic at SSCE/GCE O’Level or NABTEB may be considered, provided they meet other requirements. NCE (Arabic) at Merit Level is also accepted.
- LASU accepts other Arts/Social Sciences subjects in lieu of Yoruba Language.
- Diploma holders in Health Education, Environmental Health, Physical Education, Social Work, Health Administration, Certificate in Coaching, and Advanced Diploma in Sports from the Nigerian Institute for Sports (with at least a Merit grade) may also apply for Human Kinetics, Sports and Health Education.
Programme Duration
- Four-Year Degree Programme: For candidates with NCE/ND Merit/Lower Credit grade and above.
- Five-Year Degree Programme: For candidates with WASC/SSCE, NABTEB, and NCE who do not meet the requirements for the four-year programme.
Application Procedure
Application forms are available online via the Lagos State University website: www.lasu.edu.ng. Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Ten Thousand Naira (₦10,000.00) only. After completing the online application, candidates must submit a copy of the form along with appropriate O’Level scratch card(s) to the Directorate of Sandwich Degree Programme at either the Ojo or Epe campus.
The University has warned applicants against making payments to individuals or into unauthorized accounts. All payments must strictly follow the official process provided on the LASU website.
Closing Date
The deadline for submission of applications is twelve (12) weeks from the date of publication of this notice.
Entrance Examination
The entrance examination and interview will hold on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the 3-in-1 Lecture Theatre (Hall 1 and 2), beginning at 9:00 a.m. Candidates are required to bring along their writing materials, original credentials, and photocopies of same.
