The Lagos State University (LASU) has approved the academic calendar for the 2026/2027 academic session, outlining dates for resumption, registration, lectures, examinations, result processing and Senate consideration of results for the First and Second Semesters.
The calendar was approved by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ayodeji Olawunmi Badejo, FCASSON, FAPROCON, MNAE, on behalf of the University Senate.
According to the approved calendar, activities for the 2026/2027 academic session will cover the First and Second Semesters, with specific timelines for students and academic units.
FIRST SEMESTER
Date: Friday, 2nd October – Friday, 23rd October 2026
Activity: Resumption, Registration and Orientation of New Students
Duration: Three weeks
Date: Monday, 26th October 2026 – Friday, 15th January 2027
Activity: Resumption and Lectures for Returning and New Students, inclusive of censor holidays, Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year
Duration: 12 weeks
Date: Monday, 11th – Friday, 15th January 2027
Activity: Late Registration with payment of ₦10,000 penalty fee
Duration: One week
Date: Monday, 18th – Friday, 22nd January 2027
Activity: Revision
Duration: One week
Date: Monday, 25th January – Friday, 12th February 2027
Activity: First Semester Examination
Duration: Three weeks
Date: Monday, 15th – Friday, 26th February 2027
Activity: Grading/Uploading of Results
