Lagos State University (LASU) has inaugurated a state-of-the-art 350-seat Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre at its Ojo main campus, enhancing its ICT infrastructure.

Lagos State University (LASU) has taken a significant step in strengthening its Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art 350-seat Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre. The new facility, located on the ground floor of the recently completed LASU Central Library at the Ojo main campus, was officially launched on Monday, March 17, 2025.

The Vice-Chancellor of LASU, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, led the university’s management team on an inspection tour of the new centre ahead of its use for the ongoing first-semester examinations. The facility is expected to enhance the university’s CBT examination process and address challenges previously encountered when using rented facilities for assessments.

Equipped with 350 internet-enabled laptops and a dedicated server room, the centre provides a seamless and efficient examination experience for students. The addition of a holding bay, where students can wait before their exams, further improves the process and ensures smooth operations.

Prof. Toyin Enikuomehin, Director of the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (DICT), accompanied the Vice-Chancellor during the inspection. He highlighted the university’s commitment to leveraging technology for academic excellence and improving students' assessment experiences.
