Lagos State University (LASU) has achieved a significant academic milestone with the National Universities Commission (NUC) granting approval for four new full-time undergraduate programmes within its Faculty of Computing and Information Technology.

This development reinforces LASU’s leadership in technology-driven education and prepares graduates for the evolving digital economy.

The approval, communicated in a letter dated 3rd November 2025 and signed by the Acting Director of Academic Planning, Mr. Abubakar M. Girei, on behalf of the NUC Executive Secretary, followed a comprehensive resource verification visit. Panels of experts assessed the University’s human and material resources to ensure readiness for the proposed programmes.

The newly approved programmes, effective from the 2025/2026 academic session, are:
