The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, will on Thursday, September 25, 2025, hold its 68th Inaugural Lecture at The Great Hall, Ogbomoso.

The lecture, scheduled for 12 noon, will be delivered by Professor Lukuman Adekilekun Jimoda, Professor of Environmental Engineering in the Department of Chemical Engineering.

The lecture is titled “Unraveling Tropospheric Pollution: Chemical Engineering Insights into Coupled Monitoring, Nonlinear Modelling and Sustainable Mitigation Pathway.” It will highlight the impact of chemical engineering research in addressing the challenges of atmospheric pollution through advanced monitoring techniques, nonlinear modeling, and strategies for sustainable mitigation.

Professor Jimoda, a distinguished scholar with degrees from Obafemi Awolowo University (Ife), is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (FNSChE) and a member of several professional bodies, including MNSE and R.Engr.

The Vice-Chancellor of LAUTECH, Professor R.O. Rom Kalilu, will chair the occasion, while the Registrar, Mrs. Olayinka O. Balogun, will coordinate proceedings.

The Inaugural Lecture series at LAUTECH provides a platform for accomplished scholars to share their research contributions and engage the academic community on issues of national and global importance.
