MAPOLY Governing Council Appoints Retired SP Felix Friday Fayose as Chief Security Officer
The Governing Council of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, has approved the appointment of Mr. Felix Friday Fayose, SP (Rtd.), as a Contract Staff member of the Polytechnic, following his satisfactory performance and commitment to duty while serving as an Adjunct Staff member. The appointment takes effect from Tuesday, 21st April, 2026, the date on which the Council considered and approved the appointment.
By virtue of this appointment and the consequent change in his employment status, Mr. Fayose becomes the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the Polytechnic
He succeeds SP Abiodun Faremi (Rtd.), who voluntarily resigned his appointment to attend to personal and family matters.
The contract appointment is for an initial period of two years and is renewable, subject to continued satisfactory performance and service.
Mr. Felix Friday Fayose, a native of Supare-Akoko in Akoko West Local Government Area of Ondo State, was born on 7th April, 1967.
He began his educational journey at St. James Primary School, Supare-Akoko, before proceeding to Agbogbo Grammar School, Supare-Akoko, where he obtained his West African School Certificate between 1980 and 1985.
In 2002, he obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Hons.) Degree in Government and Public Administration from Abia State University, Uturu, Abia State.
Mr. Fayose enlisted in the Nigeria Police Force as a recruit constable and successfully completed his basic police training, thereafter passing out as a full-fledged police officer.

Throughout his distinguished career, he attended several professional and leadership courses, including the Constable Development Course; Police Mobile Force (PMF) Training at Gwoza Camp, Borno State; Drill Instructors' Course at the Police College, Ikeja; Police Graduate Officers' Special Commission Course at the Staff College, Jos; and the Citizenship and Leadership Training Course at Shere Hills, Jos.
He also participated in the Emergency Management Awareness Workshop for Police Officers at the Staff College, Jos, and the Human Rights Training Course in Ikeja, Lagos State, among several other professional development programmes.
In recognition of his exemplary leadership, professionalism, and commitment to duty, he received numerous Letters of Commendation and Awards of Excellence during his years of service.
