The Governing Council of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, has approved the appointment of 24 senior academic staff members as part of efforts to strengthen academic development and motivate staff within the institution.

The Governing Council of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, has approved the appointment of 24 senior academic staff members as part of efforts to strengthen academic development and motivate staff within the institution.

The approved appointments comprise 10 Chief Lecturers, 13 Principal Lecturers, and one Chief Technologist.

According to the Polytechnic, the appointments cover the 2022, 2023, and 2024 promotion years and take retrospective effect from October 1 of each respective year.

Speaking during the Council meeting, the Chairman of the Governing Council, Emeritus Professor Kamaldeen Balogun, reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to ensuring that staff promotions and appointments are processed promptly as and when due.

Prof. Balogun stated that the exercise was aimed at motivating staff members and repositioning the Polytechnic among leading institutions in Nigeria’s polytechnic sector.

He commended members of staff for their dedication, resilience, and commitment towards the growth and development of the institution.

In his remarks, the Rector of MAPOLY, Arc. Dr. ’Koye Jolaoso, congratulated the newly appointed staff and assured employees of the Polytechnic’s continued commitment to fairness, equity, and justice.

He urged the beneficiaries to justify their appointments through increased dedication, improved productivity, and renewed commitment to their responsibilities.
