Meet Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, A Dedicated Leader at Aliko Dangote University

Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai has been making significant strides as the Vice Chancellor of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH) Wudil, Kano State.

Appointed in January 2023, he succeeded Professor Shehu Alhaji Musa and has been working tirelessly to promote academic excellence, community engagement, and leadership.

As an Agricultural Economist, Professor Yakasai brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role. He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, and has served in various academic and administrative positions, including Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Director of the Centre for Agricultural Business and Extension at ADUSTECH.

Professor Yakasai's leadership extends beyond the university campus. He serves as the Chairman of the Kano State Chapter of UDUS Alumni Association and was recently appointed as Sarkin Kudun Gaya by the Gaya Emirate Council, recognizing his dedication to his profession and community service.

Under Professor Yakasai's leadership, ADUSTECH aims to become one of the best universities in Africa. His administration has introduced additional techniques for internal revenue generation, including utilizing university land for irrigation and mechanized farming, and offering consultancy services.
