Mohamet Lawan College of Agriculture Presents 2026 Budget Proposal; Provost Earns Commendation from Borno Assembly

The Management of Mohamet Lawan College of Agriculture (MOLCA), Maiduguri, led by the Provost, Professor Alhaji Abba Makinta, has formally presented the institution's 2026 fiscal year budget proposal to the Borno State House of Assembly.

The presentation was made before the House Budget Committee on Education, chaired by Engr. Gambomi Marte, on Tuesday, 6th January 2026.

Accompanied by a high-powered delegation including the Deputy Provost, Dr. Enoch A. Amanda; Registrar, Bakura Mohammed; Bursar, Falmata Mallam (CNA); Director of Academic Planning, Umar Mustapha Marte; and Chief Accountant, Mohammed Taha, the Provost provided a comprehensive review of the 2025 fiscal year. He detailed the college's capital and recurrent expenditures, demonstrating a high level of budget performance and fiscal discipline.

The Committee Chairman, Engr. Gambomi Marte, expressed satisfaction with the proposal, noting that the college’s focus aligns with the state’s commitment to enhancing agricultural education and institutional excellence.
