Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria Calls for Reconsideration of Compulsory Field Trip Fee

The Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria, Gombe State University Branch, has expressed concern over a directive requiring students of the Faculty of Science to pay ₦20,000 each for a compulsory field trip.

The society believes the additional fee is untimely and insensitive, given the recent significant increase in registration fees.

The students argue that the university traditionally funded field trips and that the substantial hike in registration fees should have covered such expenses. The compulsory nature of the field trip poses a challenge for students from underprivileged backgrounds who may struggle to afford the fee.
