NANS JCC Ondo Concludes 2026 Statewide Medical Outreach, Provides Free Healthcare to Students

NANS JCC Ondo State Axis has concluded its 2026 three-day statewide medical outreach, providing free HIV screening, malaria tests, eye checks, blood sugar tests, genotype screening, and medical consultations to students across tertiary institutions in Ondo State.
The outreach commenced on July 29 at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), continued on July 30 at Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED), Ondo, and concluded on July 31 at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic (RUGIPO), Owo.
The initiative benefited students from FUTA, AAUA,FECA, AFUED, Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji, the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), OAUSTECH, Achievers University, Margaret Mosunmola College of Health Sciences and Technology, and other tertiary institutions within the respective host axes.

Throughout the exercise, students received free HIV and Hepatitis B screening, malaria testing, blood sugar checks, blood group and genotype tests, eye screening, professional medical consultations, and health education, all aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and encouraging routine medical check-ups among students.
Speaking on the successful conclusion of the outreach, the Welfare Director of NANS JCC Ondo Axis, Comrade Kujenya Hammed Usman (OUSMAN), described the programme as a landmark welfare intervention designed to improve students’ well-being beyond advocacy. He appreciated the medical professionals, volunteers, institutional authorities, partner organizations, and all stakeholders whose support ensured the success of the initiative.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the NANS JCC Ondo Axis leadership to sustaining impactful welfare programmes that directly improve the lives of students across Ondo State, noting that accessible healthcare remains a vital component of a productive academic environment.
The successful completion of the outreach marks another significant milestone for NANS JCC Ondo Axis in advancing student welfare through practical and people-centered initiatives.
