The management of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), led by Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, has announced a ban on all assemblies on campus, including sign-out celebrations by graduating students, until further notice. This decision was made to maintain law and order on campus, according to a statement released by the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr. Yahaya Mohammed.

Dr. Mohammed expressed concerns over potential unrest, stating that some individuals are attempting to create chaos and disrupt campus peace. He urged students to comply with the directive, adding that the university’s security unit has been alerted to enforce the ban.

“You are advised to obey the instruction of the University Management in this regard,” the statement read. “We hope you will shelve any plans to partake in any celebrations or be part of any assembly until stability returns to our campus.”

The decision follows an appeal by a group of students who had urged the management to review recent anti-student policies or face protest action.
