Nasarawa State University to Host Inaugural Lecture on Genetically Modified Switchgrass

The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, invites the academic community and the general public to the inaugural lecture titled "Genetically Modified Switchgrass: A Harbinger for Renewable Energy and Economic Growth".

The lecture will be delivered by Professor Josiah Chukwudi Onovo, a renowned expert in Cytogenetics and Plant Breeding, on Wednesday, 28th August 2024, at 10:00 am in the Assembly Hall, Main Campus.

Professor Onovo, who holds a Ph.D. from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and is a member of the Nigerian Society of Genetics, will share insights on the potential of genetically modified switchgrass to drive renewable energy and economic growth.
