Newly Appointed Commissioner for Higher Education Pledges Support for Umaru Ali Shinkafi Polytechnic

Prof. Muhammad Maishanu, the newly posted Honorable Commissioner for Higher Education, has pledged his full support for the activities and programs of Umaru Ali Shinkafi Polytechnic, Sokoto.

 

During his visit to the institution, the Rector, Malam Aliyu Balarabe, highlighted notable achievements under his leadership.

The Rector also outlined pressing challenges facing the institution, including the need for course accreditation, provision of office spaces for staff, enhancement of welfare packages, improvement of security measures, and recruitment of additional staff.

As part of the visit, the Commissioner and his team inspected key facilities, including the Entrepreneurship Center and the ICT unit, to assess their operations and impact. The visit was attended by the Permanent Secretary for Higher Education, directors from the ministry, as well as the institution's Deputy Rector (Administration), Registrar, Bursar, and other senior directors.

 

The Commissioner's pledge of support is expected to bolster the institution's efforts to provide quality education and promote academic excellence.
