Newton University Promotes EKSU Alumnus, Dr. Olayinka Oluwamuyiwa Ojo, to Full Professor

Newton University has announced the promotion of Dr. Olayinka Oluwamuyiwa Ojo, an alumnus of Ekiti State University (EKSU), to the rank of Full Professor in Sustainable Development Law and Policy.

Professor Ojo, a distinguished legal scholar and practitioner, holds an LL.B from Ekiti State University, a B.L (First Class) from the Nigerian Law School, an LL.M (Distinction) from Charles University in Prague, and a Ph.D. from Ghent University, Belgium.

With over a decade of professional and academic experience across Nigeria, Kenya, Zambia, India, the Czech Republic, and Belgium, Professor Ojo has built a stellar career at the intersection of law, business, and leadership. His scholarly and professional work spans human rights, environmental law, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) frameworks, institutional capacity-building, and policy development.

Beyond academia, he has served as a partner and legal adviser to several multinational corporations and spearheaded transformative social impact projects such as the Prisoners’ Rehabilitation and Integration Project, supported by the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID).

A widely respected voice in his field, Professor Ojo has participated in numerous international conferences and training programmes across Europe, India, Canada, and the United States. He is a member of multiple professional associations and a recipient of several national and international awards in recognition of his contributions to law, governance, and sustainable development.

His promotion to the rank of Professor reflects Newton University’s recognition of his sustained excellence in research, teaching, and leadership.
