NITT Holds 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony As DG Urges Students To Pursue Excellence

The Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology, NITT, Zaria, has successfully conducted its 2025/2026 Academic Session Matriculation Ceremony, formally admitting newly enrolled HND, ND, NID and NVC students into the institution.

The event, held at the Institute's Main Auditorium, brought together directors, heads of strategic units, staff, students, labour union representatives, and invited guests in a colourful ceremony marking the beginning of the students' academic journey at NITT.

The Director-General/Chief Executive, Dr. Bayero Salih Farah, who declared the event open, congratulated the newly matriculated students. He encouraged them to uphold discipline, integrity, and academic excellence, and to steer clear of all forms of examination malpractice, cultism, drug abuse, and other social vices.

Dr. Farah reaffirmed NITT's commitment to producing highly skilled professionals capable of driving innovation and development in Nigeria's transport sector. He said the Institute remains focused on equipping students with practical skills and knowledge that align with industry needs.

The Registrar, Dr. Maina W. A. Tarfa, welcomed the matriculants on behalf of the Institute's management. He advised them to take full advantage of the training opportunities at NITT and to be good ambassadors of the Institute.

The matriculation ceremony officially marked the students' admission into the Institute, with management expressing confidence that the new entrants would contribute positively to the growth and reputation of NITT.
