The School of General Studies at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has formally congratulated Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie on his appointment as the 7th Substantive Vice-Chancellor of the institution.

The School of General Studies at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has formally congratulated Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie on his appointment as the 7th Substantive Vice-Chancellor of the institution.

The Director of the School, Professor Philomena Igbokwe, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor’s office on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, to extend congratulations and welcome Prof. Anyaehie to the university. During the visit, she briefed him on the School’s programs, highlighting that General Studies (GST) courses are offered to students across 100, 200, and 300 levels.

In response, Prof. Anyaehie described the visit as timely and expressed his commitment to collaborating with the School of General Studies to enhance the university’s growth. He pledged to expand the GST curriculum to ensure courses remain relevant to students’ lives and broader societal needs.

The highlight of the visit was the presentation of a portrait to the Vice-Chancellor. Other members of the delegation included Professor Ebele Ojukwu (Deputy Director 1), Dr. Uzoezie (Deputy Director 2, Nnewi), Dr. Abunike (Deputy Director 2, Awka), Mrs. Okeke Stella, Mr. Nzewi (Deputy Registrar), Mr. Ifenne Nwokeke (Head, Exams Unit), Mrs. Okafor (Head, Registration Unit), and the Head, Publication Unit, SGS.
