Northeastern University Hosts Annual Ramadan Iftar Gathering to Foster Unity and Reflection
In the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, the academic community of Northeastern University (NEU) and Pen Resource Academy gathered on Saturday, 14 March 2026, for a special Iftar dinner hosted by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Dr. Sani Jauro (Danlawan of Gombe).
The event, held at the Dr. Yusufu Bala Usman Auditorium, served as a significant platform for spiritual reflection and the strengthening of institutional bonds.
The gathering brought together a diverse cross-section of the institution, including academic and non-teaching staff of Northeastern University, Staff from both the Primary and Secondary sections of Pen Resource Academy.
In his remarks, Dr. Sani Jauro emphasized that the Iftar is more than a traditional breaking of the fast; it is a manifestation of the unity and togetherness that define the NEU brand. The atmosphere was one of warm fellowship, allowing colleagues to share blessings and engage in communal prayers for the progress of the university and the nation.
