NUC Accreditation Team Visits KWASU Osi Campus Ahead of Academic Session
The NUC team led by Nasir Idris visited KWASU Osi Campus for an official accreditation, where they received assurances of community support from the Olosi and local stakeholders ahead of the academic session's commencement.
The National Universities Commission (NUC), led by Nasir Idris, visited Kwara State University (KWASU) Osi Campus yesterday for an official accreditation before the commencement of the 2024 academic session. The accreditation visit marks an important milestone as the Osi Campus prepares to begin its full academic operations.
The NUC team was warmly welcomed by Professor Binta Ajibola Sulyman, Head of KWASU Osi Campus, alongside the Osi Welfare Association (OWA) national executive, led by Arc. Dr. Olu Joseph Takiti. The visit also included a royal welcome at the Olosi's palace, where they were received by His Royal Majesty, Oba Saliu Abdulkareem Adasofegbe Arowobeku 1, the Olosi of Osi and Chairman of Traditional Rulers, Ekiti Local Government Area, Kwara State.
Oba Adasofegbe expressed his gratitude to the NUC team, assuring them of the full support of the Osi community, stakeholders, and the indigenes in ensuring the successful operation of KWASU Osi Campus. He emphasized the readiness of the community to welcome the academic activities and work in partnership with the university.
The NUC team, after the visit, conveyed their satisfaction with the preparations made for the commencement of the academic session at the Osi Campus. The accreditation process is a vital step in the official recognition and operation of the campus, which is set to open its doors for students starting from November 11th, 2024.
