NUC Approves Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology and Two Other Programmes for Ajayi Crowther University
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved five new undergraduate programmes for Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo, expanding the institution’s academic portfolio for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved five new undergraduate programmes for Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo, expanding the institution’s academic portfolio for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The approval followed a resource verification exercise conducted by a panel of NUC experts during a visit to the university on April 20, 2026, to assess the availability of human and material resources required for the proposed programmes.
During the exercise, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ebunoluwa Oduwole, reaffirmed the university’s commitment to academic excellence, quality education, and innovation-driven learning.
The approval was conveyed in a letter signed by the NUC Director of Academic Planning, Abubakar Girei, on behalf of the Executive Secretary, Prof. Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu, and addressed to the Vice-Chancellor.

According to the commission, the newly approved full-time undergraduate programmes are:
B.Sc. Anatomy, B.Sc. Physiology, B.Sc. Pharmacology, B.Sc. Public Health, and B.Sc. Artificial Intelligence.
The letter noted that the programmes received approval following a successful verification exercise confirming that the university met the required academic and infrastructural standards for their establishment.
The Executive Secretary subsequently approved the introduction of the programmes with effect from the 2026/2027 academic session.
