A staff of Finance and Account Committee, NYSC Lagos, Mrs Florence Onyegbule, sensitized the 2022 batch 'B' Stream II corps members at the ongoing orientation course in Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos, about the allowances corps members are entitled to during the Service Year.
Speaking on the allowances this morning, Mrs Onyegbule said every corps member is entitled to these allowances; Bicycle allowance - #1,800; Local transport allowance - #1,400 and the monthly allowance, which is the sum of #33,000.
She urged corps members who are yet to receive their transport allowance to do so immediately so that the Committee can focus on other assignments set before it.
She added that the commencement for the Local transport allowance payment would begin tomorrow and end on Saturday, therefore, corps members should note this, as no excuses would be welcomed stating after the deadline, corps members would receive their money in the various bank accounts opened for them.
Addressing them on the need to always submit the right piece of information for banking needs, she said, corps members who do not submit their correct account details might not see their allowance on time which would require a long process and later be paid in arrears.
Conclusively, she advised corps members on the need to always ensure their biometrics for monthly clearance is done, as it is the only means for their monthly allowance to be paid.
