OAU Donates ICT Equipment to NYSC Osun to Boost Administrative Efficiency

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has donated information and communication technology (ICT) equipment to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Osun State to improve administrative efficiency and strengthen the Scheme’s operational capacity.

The donation, comprising two high-performance HP laptops and a printer, was formally presented on Monday at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Ede.

Representing the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adebayo Bamire Simeon, the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor John Adeolu Odedire, said the gesture reflected the university’s commitment to promoting institutional collaboration and supporting the work of the NYSC.

Professor Odedire explained that the donation was intended to strengthen the operational capacity of the NYSC Secretariat by improving access to essential office technology.

He noted that the equipment would help facilitate smoother administrative processes and improve service delivery across the state.

The donated equipment is expected to be integrated into the Secretariat’s daily operations to support documentation, communication and other administrative tasks.

The initiative highlights OAU’s commitment to community engagement and its support for the infrastructure and operations of national service programmes.
