PTDF Opens  Scholarship Application  For Nigerian Students

The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) has announced the commencement of applications for the PTDF Scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students for the 2023/24 academic session. This scholarship opportunity is exclusively available to Nigerian students, offering financial support and other benefits to successful applicants.

To be eligible for the PTDF Scholarship Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

For Postgraduate Applicants:

  •  Possess a full-time admission letter into any of the Federal Universities in Nigeria.
  •  Attain a minimum of Second-Class Lower (2.2) in an Oil and Gas/Management related field.
  • Achieve a minimum of merit in a second-degree certificate in an Oil and Gas-related discipline.
  • Obtain at least 5 credits in WAEC/SSCE/NECO results
  • Provide a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate or Letter of exemption.
  • Proof of state of origin and Local Government.
  • Submit a personal statement of at least 1000 words stating reasons for undertaking the course of study (Master’s Applicants).
  •  Present a Ph.D. research proposal of not more than 6 pages, relevant to the Oil and Gas industry.

For Undergraduate Applicants:

  • Must be full-time students in any of the Federal Universities in Nigeria.
  •  Should be presently in the 200 level of study.
  • The course of study must be related to the Oil & Gas industry.
  •  Possess 5 credits in WAEC/SSCE/NECO including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Hold a valid admission letter into the University.
  • Attain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.2 in the first year.
  •  Provide transcripts for the first year of study, signed and stamped by HOD/Exams Officer or any authorized personnel in the University.
