Redeemer’s University Strengthens Faculties with 11 New Professors

Redeemer’s University has achieved a historic milestone with the appointment of 11 new professors, further enhancing its academic excellence under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shadrach Olufemi Akindele.

The announcement was made during the Covenant Hour service on September 2, 2025. Prof. Akindele revealed that the appointments had been ratified by the university council following the 61st Statutory Meeting of the Appointment and Promotion Committee (Academic Staff) on August 26.

“One thing I am glad to say is this: before you become a professor, your publications are sent to external assessors. And I made up my mind that I was going to handle it personally,” the Vice-Chancellor said. He emphasized the objectivity of the process, noting that one external assessor remarked on the integrity of the selection.
