Ruger Donates 50 Laptops to Alma Mater, Sponsors Talented Student

Nigerian singer and songwriter Ruger made a powerful impact during an emotional visit to his former secondary school, where he donated 50 brand-new laptops to help boost digital literacy and learning among students.

In a heartfelt speech, Ruger emphasized the importance of education and technology in today’s world, noting that his gesture was meant to give students a better chance at success in an increasingly digital age. 

The highlight of the event came when a student, Lucky Friday, captured Ruger’s attention with a soulful performance. Deeply touched by the young boy’s talent, Ruger announced a fully funded scholarship to support Lucky’s education, stating that he saw great potential in him and wanted to help nurture it. Ruger described the school as “the most exciting part” of his life, expressing immense gratitude for the foundation it gave him. 

He pledged to continue giving back to the institution, promising that this donation was just the beginning of many more contributions to come.
