Students Beat Teacher To Death Over Gambling In Oyo

A school.teacher Mr Fatai Adegoke, has died after he was brutally assaulted by studied he cautioned from gambling during school hours at Soun High School, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

Eyewitness narrated that the incident occurred when Mr. Adegoke confronted a group of students reportedly caught gambling in a classroom. 

The source said that the eraged students pounced on Adegoke and beat him fiercely to the point of breaking his limbs.

The teacher was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later died from the injuries sustained in the assault.

The incident has sparked reactions from education stakeholders in the State as coalition of concerned educators described the attack as “a horrifying act and an assault on the entire teaching profession.”
