SUG-BUK Hosts 2025 Annual Symposium to Equip Students for Post-Graduation Success

The Students' Union Government, Bayero University, Kano (SUG-BUK) proudly hosted its Annual Symposium, focused on the theme "Life After Graduation and Career Planning." The event took place at the Mahmud Tukur Theater, Old Campus, on Monday 15th December, 2025, organized by the Office of the Public Relations Officer.

The symposium featured esteemed panelists, including:

- Dr. Abubakar Salihu, Department of Public Administration;

- Dr. Sani Saidu Ibrahim, Deputy Dean of Students' Affairs;

- Hon. Zaid Ayuba Alhaji, National President of the Arewa Youth Consultative Council (AYCC);

- Comr. Naseer Ibrahim Isah, 56th SUG President of BUK and Special Assistant to the Deputy President of the Senate.

During the session, the panelists engaged in meaningful discussions, providing invaluable insights into career planning and pathways for students after graduation.

In his opening remarks, SUG President Comr. Abdullahi Usman Baba encouraged students to embrace the benefits of the symposium theme, emphasizing the importance of career readiness in today’s competitive job market.

Abubakar Salisu Kazaure, the Public Relations Officer, expressed his gratitude, stating, "It is indeed a singular honor for me to have you all join our Symposium. This event is aimed at benefiting our students, and we hope it serves us all well." He extended heartfelt appreciation to the Dean of Students' Affairs for the tireless support in making this symposium a success.
