Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa (SLUK) has unveiled its new multi-billion-naira library complex and the extension of the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences (FNAS).

The commissioning ceremony, held on July 1, 2025, was attended by notable dignitaries, including the Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar A. Namadi, and the Chairman of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Board of Trustees, Right Honourable Aminu Bello Masari.

Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim Yakasai described the new library complex as a vital part of the university's intellectual heartbeat, aimed at fostering academic excellence and promoting independent inquiry.

The Governor announced plans to construct road networks in the university, install a power plant, and allocate significant funds for infrastructure development across the state's tertiary institutions.
