Thomas Adewumi University Celebrates International Day of the Girl Child 2025 in Grand Style

In commemoration of the International Day of the Girl Child 2025, TAU held an inspiring event themed “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis.”

The celebration featured a powerful keynote address by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Francisca Oladipo, who shared her personal journey from humble beginnings to becoming a leading voice in academia and technology. She encouraged the girls to “develop unshakeable self-belief and lift others as they rise.”

The convener, Mrs. Temitope J. Ayoola, in her heartfelt speech, reminded every girl that “they are not too young to dream boldly or too small to spark change.”

The event, which was beautifully anchored by Omotayo Saheed, a 500-level Nursing Science student, was filled with moments of inspiration, poetry, dance, and storytelling — celebrating the resilience, brilliance, and leadership of girls within the TAU community.
