Thomas Adewumi University Hosts MRTBN for Student Indexing and Professional Examinations

Thomas Adewumi University welcomed delegates from the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board of Nigeria (MRTBN) for the indexing of 300-level Physiotherapy students and the professional examination of 500-level Physiotherapy students.

The delegation included Prof. Adeshola OJOAWO of Obafemi Awolowo University, Prof. Dr. Patrick YUSUF and Dr. Raji TAOFEEK from MRTBN. They were received by the Head of Department of Physiotherapy, Dr. Saliu G. AKINWALE, who introduced the team to the Registrar, Mr. Fisoye O. KOLAWOLE, the Bursar, Mrs. Rachael O. AFOLABI, and the Dean of the Faculty of Basic Medical and Health Sciences, Prof. Emenike O. IROKANULO, who represented the Vice-Chancellor. 

During the opening meeting, Prof. Irokanulo warmly welcomed the delegation and emphasized the importance of the indexing and professional examinations in preparing students for excellence in the healthcare profession. He noted that the Department and students had adequately prepared for both the theory and clinical aspects of the examinations, which would be assessed using a 50/50 benchmark for theory and practical performance. He also appreciated the delegates for their commitment and presence at the University.

In response, Prof. Ojoawo expressed his excitement at the impressive environment and rapid progress of Thomas Adewumi University. He commended the institution for maintaining high standards and providing the necessary facilities and structure for the effective training of Physiotherapy students.
