Tragedy at UNN, One Dead, Four Arrested After Bonfire Party Violence on Campus

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), has been thrown into mourning following the tragic death of Enugu auto dealer Michael Nweze, popularly known as PowerAutos. Nweze was fatally stabbed during a violent clash at a bonfire event hosted by the Faculty of Arts on campus. The incident occurred near the Archaeology Department, opposite the UBA Hall of Fame.

According to information gathered by Myschoolnews, neither the deceased nor the alleged attackers were students of the institution. Instead, both parties are indigenes of Nsukka Local Government Area, Enugu State.

Eyewitnesses reported that the conflict began when Nweze, who attended the bonfire party with friends, allegedly scratched another vehicle with his Mercedes-Benz GLK while trying to drive out. Campus security was alerted and promptly intervened, successfully de-escalating the initial confrontation.

However, matters quickly spiraled out of control. While leaving the campus, Nweze and his friends were ambushed by a group of assailants driving three cars. Realizing the danger, his companions fled the scene. Nweze reportedly stepped out of his vehicle to confront the attackers but was stabbed in the neck and died instantly.
