UNIABUJA Acting Vice-Chancellor Embarks on Familiarization Tour, Advocates Interdisciplinary Research

The Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Patricia Manko Lar, continued her familiarization tour, visiting the Faculties of Veterinary Medicine, Basic Medical Sciences, and Agriculture. She emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary research collaboration to drive university and national development.
During her visits, Professor Lar commended the faculties for their outstanding achievements, encouraging other faculties to emulate their excellence. She also stressed the need for alternative funding sources and well-crafted proposals to support the university's growth.
Additionally, Professor Lar visited the University International Vegetable Production Practical Demonstration Learning Site, a collaborative project with East-West Seed Knowledge Transfer Foundation. She advocated for more research and collaboration on food security, highlighting the site's role in training smallholder farmers and nurturing agropreneurs.
