The University of Lagos has announced the commencement of applications for its School of Foundation Studies programme for the 2026/2027 academic session, formerly known as the Diploma programme.

The University of Lagos has announced the commencement of applications for its School of Foundation Studies programme for the 2026/2027 academic session, formerly known as the Diploma programme.

According to the university, the application portal will open on Monday, May 25, 2026, and close on Friday, August 21, 2026.

The institution stated that the entrance examination will hold on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at designated centres within the university, including the Distance Learning Institute (DLI) and the Adetokunbo Babatunde Sofoluwe Centre for Information Technology and Systems (ABS-CITS).

The examination will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT), with all questions set in multiple-choice format.

Examination Structure

The university outlined the exam format as follows:

  • Mathematics: 20 questions
  • English Language: 20 questions
  • Three additional subjects based on candidate’s chosen combination: 15 questions each
  • Total number of questions: 85
  • Duration: 45 minutes

The institution noted that candidates offering Mathematics as part of their subject combination must also include Further Mathematics in their examination subjects.

Prospective applicants are advised to complete registration within the stipulated period, as late applications will not be considered.

The university further indicated that interested candidates may obtain additional registration support through its official communication channels.
