The exercise is faculty-based, requiring every fresh student to report to their designated faculty on the scheduled day with the required documents to complete screening and registration.
The process includes toxicology screening, appointment booking, online uploads, physical verification, payment of fees, and final faculty or departmental registration.

Overview of the UNILAG Screening and Registration Exercise
All newly admitted UTME and Direct Entry candidates are required to report to their respective faculties for the exercise.
- Duration: Monday, 17 November to Friday, 28 November 2025
- Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily
- Mode: Faculty-based screening and registration on the main campus
Students are advised to arrive early on their assigned day with all documents properly arranged and photocopied.
Stage 1: Toxicology Screening
The first step in the registration process is the toxicology test.
- Each candidate must pay for the toxicology screening.
- Candidates are to report to the designated venue for the test.
- Only candidates who pass the toxicology screening can proceed to the registration stage.
- Students must keep a copy of their toxicology result and bring it to the faculty for verification.
Stage 2: Registration Schedule and Appointment Booking
After completing the toxicology screening, candidates must book an appointment online for faculty registration. Appointment booking opens from Friday, 14 November 2025.
Steps to Book a Registration Appointment:
- Visit the UNILAG student portal login page: https://studentportal.unilag.edu.ng/login
- Log in using your JAMB Number or Application Number as the Username, and your surname in lowercase as the Password.
- Change the default password to a new secure password when prompted.
- On the portal menu, click “Appointment.”
- Select “New Appointment.”
- Choose the appointment type for your Faculty.
- Select the correct session.
- Click “Schedule Appointment.”
- A “Successful” message will confirm your booking. Print the Appointment or Booking Slip and keep it safe.
It is mandatory for all candidates to present the printed Appointment or Booking Slip at the screening and registration venue.
