UNILORIN Alumni Association Extols FUL VC, Prof. Akinwumi for Support at 50th Anniversary Public Lecture

The National Executive of the University of Ilorin Alumni Association, under the leadership of Prof. Abdulrazaq Olubusuyi Kilani, has commended the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, for his participation and support towards the success of this year's Alumni Public Lecture and Award Ceremony held in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of his alma mater.

In an appreciation jointly conveyed by the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), Professor S. D. Adekeye, and the Secretary, Dr. A. A. Showunmi, the Alumni body thanked the Vice-Chancellor for his unalloyed support and dedication to the progress of the Association. 

"Your involvement in the maiden edition of the Alumni Public Lecture did not go unnoticed, and it has contributed to the elevation of our Alumni Association in leadership among Alumni bodies of Nigerian Universities," the statement read in part, adding, "it is our hope that you will always be there for us in future events."

On Wednesday, 5th November 2025, Professor Akinwumi delivered the 50th Anniversary Lecture organized by the University of Ilorin Alumni Association, held at the Banquet Hall of the Kwara State Government House, in commemoration of the University's golden jubilee.
