UNILORIN VC Congratulates Kolade-Otitoju on Appointment as TVC News Director
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, has congratulated investigative journalist and alumnus of the institution, Babajide Kolade-Otitoju, on his appointment as Director of News at Television Continental (TVC).

In a statement issued by the Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kunle Akogun, the vice-chancellor described the appointment as well deserved, attributing it to Kolade-Otitoju’s decades of experience, strong editorial leadership, and commitment to credible journalism.
Professor Egbewole noted that the appointment marks a significant milestone in the journalist’s professional career and reflects his sustained contributions to the Nigerian media landscape.
The vice-chancellor, who also serves as Secretary-General of the Association of West African Universities (AWAU), urged Kolade-Otitoju to continue to discharge his responsibilities with courage, professionalism, and finesse, qualities for which he is widely respected in the industry.
He recalled that the University of Ilorin had earlier honoured Kolade-Otitoju for his contributions to national development during activities marking the institution’s golden jubilee celebrations.
Kolade-Otitoju, a veteran journalist with over three decades of experience, is an alumnus of the University of Ilorin, where he earned a degree in History in 1989.
Professor Egbewole wished him a successful and impactful tenure in his new role at Television Continental.
