The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, has congratulated the Muslim community within the university on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement released on March 3, 2025, Professor Mele emphasized the significance of Ramadan as a period of spiritual reflection, devotion, and unity. He urged staff and students to embody the values of patience, compassion, and charity that Ramadan represents.
The Vice-Chancellor prayed for peace, progress, and blessings upon the university community and the nation at large. He also encouraged Muslims to use this period to strengthen their faith and contribute positively to society, fostering harmony and understanding within the university and beyond.
