The University of Medical Sciences has officially commenced applications for its Inter-University Transfer admission process for the 2026/2027 academic session, providing an opportunity for qualified students from other recognised institutions to continue their studies at the university.
The transfer window is targeted at undergraduate students seeking admission into medical and health-related programmes at UNIMED, widely regarded as Nigeria’s first specialised medical university.
According to the institution, successful candidates under the transfer scheme will only be admitted into 200 Level, allowing them to integrate into the university’s specialised academic structure without starting afresh.
The university noted that the transfer pathway is designed to provide students with access to a more focused medical education environment, backed by specialised laboratories, structured clinical training, and a relatively stable academic calendar aimed at ensuring timely graduation.
To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one academic session or two semesters in the same programme at a JAMB-recognised university. Candidates are also required to meet UNIMED’s standard O’Level and programme-specific admission requirements.

Management further clarified that students facing disciplinary actions or those previously advised to withdraw from their current institutions will not be considered for the transfer process.
Interested applicants are expected to complete their applications through the university’s official portal.
